Do you know the 2008 Apprentice of the Year?

Apprenticeships are high on our agenda, and we are delighted to sponsor the Federation of Master Builders Apprentice of the Year Award at the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) 2008 Awards in London on 13 November.

Apprenticeships are important to the construction industry and in January of this year, Government announced its plan to increase the number of apprenticeships across all sectors in England to 400,000 by 2020,

ConstructionSkills manages more construction apprentices than any other provider and has 40 years experience in the business. In 2007 we saw 77% of our apprentices complete their apprenticeship - more than any other apprenticeship scheme.

We provide grant support to registered employers of up to £11,750 over the course of a three-year apprenticeship and have a dedicated team who help advise both employers and apprentices throughout the training period.

We also work closely with the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) we are proud to support them in recognising the excellence of apprentices within their sector.

If you have an apprentice that you would like to nominate for the FMB 2008 Awards, visit and submit an application via Master Builders of the Year Awards 2008.
