New chairman for the Construction Industry Council

Taking up his new role, Keith Clarke said: “This is an incredibly challenging and exciting time for the sector. Climate change, coupled with ever increasing urbanisation, population growth and scarcity of resources, moves the roles of the professional bodies to the core of the debate.”

Keith Clarke is a Chartered Architect with more than 30 years experience and is currently chief executive of Atkins, the UK’s largest engineering consultancy and second largest architecture practice. His previous roles include Executive Vice President of Skanska and Economic Development Director for the City of New York.

Keith is an Advisory Board Member at Imperial College, a member of the Supporters at Large Group for Open House and Patron of the Environmental Industries Commission.

The Rt Hon Nick Raynsford MP, CIC’s former Chairman, now becomes Deputy Chairman.
