Construction News, NCE, AJ and GE have organised The Games Briefing, a one day conference designed to give construction industry companies the information they need to become part of the 2012 supply chain. The event, on 2 October at Olympia in London, aims to provide targeted information on the contracts available and how to go about winning them.

Speakers include the key people responsible for delivering Games venues and infrastructure:

  • David Higgins, Chief Executive, Olympic Delivery Authority
  • Morag Stuart, Head of Procurement, Olympic Delivery Authority
  • Graham Davey, Director of Procurement, Fitzpatrick Contractors
  • Nigel McKay, Head of Supply Chain Management, Bovis Lend Lease
  • Tony Aikenhead, Project Director, Sir Robert McAlpine

In addition to the speaker sessions, delegates will be able to make new contacts by visiting special networking zones focused on Games-related business areas. The zones are designed to help like-minded people to identify potential project partners and to hear valuable information from the leaders in their chosen area, including ConstructionSkills.

The zones are:

  • Plant & Technology zone
  • Procurement zone
  • Sustainability zone
  • Skills zone
