Last chance for 2006 students to “grab a grant”

£1,000,000 available for “brightest and best”
students looking to enter construction industry

Time is running out for young people starting construction-related degree courses in Autumn 2006 to ‘grab a grant’ from the UK’s biggest industry.

Students have only until 31 May to secure an Inspire Scholarship, and with it funding of up to £9,000 to support them through their studies, as well as a 10-week work placement with a leading construction employer and the chance of a job on graduation.

The Inspire Scholarship scheme was launched in 2005 by ConstructionSkills, the Sector Skills Council for the construction industry. It is backed by over 150 employers from all areas of the construction and built environment industry, from architecture practices, engineering and surveying firms to management consultancies and contractors.

Paul Sykes, recruitment manager for ConstructionSkills says:

“Quite simply, if you’re a UK student applying to study a construction-related degree this year, you’d be mad not to apply. The online form takes just ten minutes to complete – and could be the easiest money you will ever make. Get your completed application into us before the end of May and you could be working with your dream employer next summer.”
