Image & Recruitment
Construction will need almost half a million new recruits between now and 2010. So as well as the traditional pool of male school leavers, we need to attract more graduates, more women, older people and ethnic minorities.
CONSTRUCTION: A POSITIVE CAREER CHOICE FOR ALL

THE IDEA

In order to position construction as a career option for high achieving students, we need to expand our education activity to use construction as a context for learning, This will help young people and their influencers learn about the opportunities construction presents, and will also help to overcome gender stereotyping of the industry.

The development and delivery of a construction GCSE will also offer a further route into the industry.
