THE COMMITMENT REQUIRED

From Government:

  • Include ConstructionSkills as a partner in the Business Support Initiative.

From employers:

  • Contribute to research into the industry‚Äôs total investment in training.
  • Increase use of the Blueprint programme, which is specifically designed to help construction employers work towards IiP accreditation.
  • Benchmark the performance of consultancy practices to bring about change.

From supply side:

  • Develop a simpler and more integrated business support model for construction, with more appropriate funding.
  • Collaborate on construction-specific promotional campaigns and pilot projects.
  • Tailor provision to the needs of small businesses.
